Bezel thickness is the #1 return in this category. The original BenQ ScreenBar clamps 1-3 cm (0.4-1.2 in) only, the Halo 2 spans 0.43-6 cm and the ScreenBar Pro 0.43-6.5 cm — and many 2026 ultrawides and curved flagships carry top bezels thicker than 3 cm. Measure yours front-to-back before ordering. Nothing on this page is specified for an iMac, an all-in-one, a panel with a raised centre spine on the back, or curvature tighter than 1000R.
Five bars are called ScreenBar
BenQ sells five confusable models spanning roughly $109 to $199 and the names do not signal price order: ScreenBar ($109), ScreenBar Pro ($139), ScreenBar Halo 2 ($199), plus the prior-generation ScreenBar Plus and the first-generation Halo. If the listing shows a wired desktop dial it is a Plus; if the backlight is a single zone it is a Halo 1, not a Halo 2. Match the exact model before you compare any price.
It dies when the monitor sleeps
Every bar here is USB-powered and none has a battery. Run it from the monitor's own USB port and it switches off whenever that monitor sleeps, because most consumer displays cut hub power in standby.
