Lumens are the wrong number
Lumens describe total output, not what lands on your desk. Only lux at a stated working distance is comparable, and exactly one lamp here publishes it — 3,700 lux at 45 cm. A focused 750-lumen beam can put more light on the page than a wide 1,000-lumen one.
Flicker-free is a marketing word
Most cheap lamps dim by pulse-width modulation — switching the LEDs on and off hundreds of times a second — and that is the actual eye-strain mechanism. Only PWM-free constant-current dimming avoids it. A lamp that says flicker-free without saying PWM-free, or quoting a flicker percentage, has told you nothing.
