Mid-2026 reset this category. The Dyson Gen5detect fell to ~$661 — below the V15 Detect Plus at ~$790 — while the Tineco Pure ONE S70 climbed from ~$399 to ~$569. Prices swing 20-40% during sales events, so re-check any figure more than a few weeks old.
The battery is the real running cost
Filters are washable but need replacing roughly annually, and the lithium-ion pack is the largest recurring cost on any cordless. Use the manufacturer's own: CPSC has warned consumers to stop using third-party packs sold as Dyson-compatible after fires, and in July 2026 recalled about 3,660 Rowenta cordless vacuums over fire and burn hazards.
