The drum dries less than it washes
Every all-in-one washes a full drum and dries only about half of it in one pass. The cubic-foot figure on the box is a wash capacity, not a dry capacity — fill a 4.6–5.3 cu ft drum and the load comes out damp. Split the load before the dry phase or run a second timed-dry.
The three-hour load
A combined wash-and-dry runs 2–3.5 hours and the machine is occupied for all of it. Yale measured 2 hr 17 min on mixed colors and 6 hr 10 min on sheets. A combo physically cannot wash load two while load one dries — a stacked pair can.
The price is the machine only
Delivery, hookup and haul-away commonly add $100–$200, and the vented Samsung needs a 240V circuit and an electrician if one isn't already there. Check the opening before ordering: 24 in for the compact, 27–28 in for full-size, and height clearance (the LG is shortest at 39 in).
