Fit ledger — need → measured evidence

PUSH-BUTTON LIFT
Two-arm powered lift with no spring to fight, and the 12-inch-deep keyboard tray rises in sync with the top surface.
SHALLOW-DESK SAFE
Travels 5.7 to 19.5 inches straight up with no forward creep — unlike the Z-lift picks, which push the tray 6-10 inches toward you.
CARRIES MORE
50 lbs on the desktop — more than any manual converter on this card, all of which cap at 33-35 lbs.
ACTUALLY BUYABLE
$200, in stock in August 2026, while every FlexiSpot converter listing and every FEZIBO ASIN reads Currently Unavailable.
SETUP
Attach the tray and go — that is the whole assembly.

The catch — co-equal billing, always

No independent lab has tested this exact model. Every other pick here has a measured result behind it; this one has a spec sheet and a price. VIVO's earlier VE-series electrics also drew quality-control complaints about the keyboard tray attachment, and it needs a nearby outlet.

Traps — this verdict avoids

Why the VIVO Electric 36 is right for you

It avoids every trap below — and for just me, under $250, it is the pick because it delivers:

Push-button lift Shallow-desk safe Carries more Actually buyable Setup
Trap 01

The tray is the product

The keyboard tray sits below the top surface, and that offset is what keeps your elbows at roughly 90 degrees while standing. Used without its tray — or replaced by a monitor-only riser — a converter puts the keyboard too high and undoes the entire point of buying one.

Trap 02

Depth decides, not width

The Vari Tall 40 is 28 inches deep and the Ergotron WorkFit-T 23 inches, so a 24-inch-deep desk fits almost nothing here without overhang. Z-lift designs also swing the keyboard tray 6-10 inches toward you as they rise, so measure the space in front of the desk too.

Trap 03

Capacity runs out fast

Rated capacity covers monitors, keyboard, mouse and accessories together. A dual 27-inch setup on arms is 25-35 lbs on its own, and every pick here except the UPLIFT E7 (110 lbs) and the VIVO electric (50 lbs) is rated 33-35 lbs. Your desk also has to carry the converter itself — 40 to 92 lbs.
