It's texting, not calling
Almost every phone-based satellite service is text-only or SOS-only in 2026 — voice on T-Satellite is still beta, and Apple has announced no satellite voice at all. Even a text takes up to a minute to send, and only with a clear, unobstructed view of the sky.
Coverage is geography-locked
