Surge is not power
The big number on the box is the surge rating, which lasts seconds. A station rated 1,800W continuous / 3,600W surge runs 1,800W all day and no more — and X-Boost-style modes reach higher wattage by dropping output voltage, which suits kettles and heaters but not motors or electronics. Match your appliance's continuous draw to the continuous rating.
The watt-hours are the SKU
One family name spans 286Wh to 4,096Wh at a 10x price spread, and a "solar generator" listing may be the station alone or the station plus panels. On this card only the Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 is a kit: ~$1,499 with two 200W panels vs ~$999 station-only. Check the Wh and the box contents, not the model name.
Not all LiFePO4 lasts the same
LFP is rated 3,000-6,000 cycles to 80% against roughly 500-800 for NMC lithium-ion — but inside LFP the Elite 200 V2 and Apex 300 (6,000+ cycles) roughly double the 4,000-cycle EcoFlow, Anker and Jackery units. Decisive if you cycle it daily; irrelevant for four weekends a year.
