The pellet bill nobody quotes
The sticker is half the story. A pellet grill burns 1-2 lb of pellets an hour at smoking temps and 3-4 lb/hour at 450-600°F, so at roughly $1/lb a 12-hour brisket costs $12-24 in fuel and a 20-lb bag lasts only 15-20 hours of smoking. Add a fitted cover ($60-130) and, up north, an insulation blanket ($60-100).
It arrives freight, in pieces
