Counterfeit cards
Fakes concentrate on third-party marketplace listings, and the stock-outs are pushing buyers straight at them — sellers are asking $99.95 to $219.90 for Samsung cards whose MSRPs are $72.99-$99.99. Buy from the brand's own storefront or the brand's own site, and capacity-test every new card with H2testw or F3 before trusting it with data.
Express is a Switch 2 feature
MicroSD Express cards fall back to UHS-I at around 100 MB/s in anything except a Nintendo Switch 2 — still the only mainstream consumer device that supports the standard. Buying one for a phone, a GoPro or a laptop reader is money burned.
