RAM is the wall, and it's soldered
In virtualization you run out of memory before cores: 16GB is the floor, 32GB is the real baseline for 2-3 concurrent VMs. Most of these machines have soldered RAM you can't upgrade later — and a severe DDR5 shortage has inflated 2026 prices — so buy the memory you need at purchase.
Built-in Wi-Fi can't attack
Monitor mode and packet injection almost always need an external USB adapter (e.g. Alfa AWUS036ACM). Built-in Intel/MediaTek/Qualcomm cards — even the new Wi-Fi 7 radios — rarely support them. Never buy a laptop expecting its internal Wi-Fi to do wireless attacks.
Snapdragon / ARM Windows is the wrong tool
