"No drilling" is not "fits any desk"
Clamp-on does not mean crossbar-proof. The HUANUO still needs 14.17 in between the desk edge and any crossbar (16.22 in to stow fully), 25 in of side clearance and a top thicker than 0.6 in; VIVO's C-clamps cap at a 1.25 in desktop and will not seat on a beveled edge. Mounting is the number-one reason these come back.
Budget trays sag under a real keyboard
Load ratings collapse at the bottom of the market. VIVO rates its tray at 11 lb and extends only 8.5 in past the desk edge; HUANUO publishes no load rating at all on its current listing. A heavy mechanical board plus a large mouse pad is close to the limit — that flex and rattle is the real difference between a $50 tray and a $293 one.
Tilt numbers are not comparable
Every brand measures differently. WorkWhileWalking's -85 degrees for the iMovR trays is how far the platform can rotate in a lab; iMovR's own advice is -20 to -35 for daily use; VEVOR quotes 38 degrees as a total range, not a negative maximum. OSHA asks only that wrists stay straight and in line with the forearms and that a tray adjust in height and tilt — it prescribes no angle, and no tray is a treatment.
