The same drill sells bare or as a kit, and a suspiciously cheap price is usually the bare one — no battery, no charger in the box. Bare-tool prices run 40-60% lower: DeWalt's DCD801 is $127 bare and about $269 with two PowerPack batteries.
Torque specs don't compare
Milwaukee and FLEX quote in-lbs, DeWalt quotes MWO/UWO, Craftsman quotes UWO — the numbers do not convert. And DeWalt's 20V MAX and Milwaukee's 18V run the same nominal 18V cells, so the voltage on the box is marketing. Trust independent testing.
The battery is the real purchase
