Every Kindle sells as two separate listings — ad-supported (lockscreen ads) and ad-free — roughly $20 apart, and every storage tier is a separate ASIN again. Each price here is the ad-free one; a Kindle price quoted without saying which is the wrong price.
Colour costs pixels
Kaleido 3 colour panels render colour at 150 PPI against 300 PPI in black and white, with a slightly greyer white point. Colour e-ink is a different product class, not a free upgrade over a mono screen.
Sale ghosts
